Apt Tests
⭕Can your friends help with your Apt test?
As Apt tests are online tests, less confident students can find help from their friends. However, it is important to remember not to ask others to help you finish it, as most of the companies will retest you in the Assessment Centre, so make sure you know how to finish an Apt test.
⭕Type of Apt Tests
Apt tests are mainly categorized as 1️⃣Personality Test,2️⃣Logical Test,3️⃣Numerical Test. Each of the Apt test systems will cover on all these 3 categories in different proportions, the following are some of the most common systems:
🔺SHL/CEB: It is a relatively easy Apt test system. But keep in mind that in 2019/20, SHL has made an update, and companies are using both new and old systems, so you should prepare carefully for both! HKCareers have mentioned this before, you can refer to our previous posts.
🔺Skyrise / Game Assessment: This is a Personality test. As it would be a huge loss for companies to hire people who cannot fit into the company's culture, hence at the Apt test and screening stage, students will also do a Personality Test. E.g. EY and Pwc had asked candidates to complete the Personality Test last year.
🔺GradACE: It is a relatively difficult Apt test which has more numerical related questions. HKEX used this system last year.
⭕Other common Apt test systems: Talent Q, Cut-E, CAPP System etc
🔺Keep in mind that companies change their Apt test system from time to time, e.g. Deloitte used to use GradACE, but changed to Cut-E this year.
🔺If there is no Deadline written on the Apt test you received, please complete it within a week, it would be best to complete it within 3 days
