How to outperform top students in IB interviews? State of Mind Matters
In the final round, you are only one step away from getting your IB offer. You’ll face competitions from the best candidates from the best universities like Cambridge, Ivy Leagues and programs like Global Business.
Apart from technical, behavior and story-telling questions, there’s one more tactic I used to outperform my competitors a few years back - that’s to use the state of mind.
“The difference between peak performance and poor performance is not intelligence or ability; most often it’s the state that your mind and body is in.” —Tony Robbins
IB is known for its fast paced work culture and they are looking for a top performer, a self-motivated person, a leader, a go-getter, an influencer, a problem solver and maybe a critical thinker.
How to show that you are the top performer? State of Mind Matters. Here’s how you can make good use of it in interviews:
Focus on what you want to believe
Give yourself evidence
If you don’t have a story, create one
Develop certainty
Use fears as a motivator
Choose your identity
Reward yourself for success
Move your body
Use optimistic word
How to put it in practice? LIKE this article and I’ll share my tips next week.
