Students Successful story

Wilson - How to get into Global Market with GPA 3.0?

Wilson was very determined to apply for the Global Market Division when he approached us. Since the GPA cut-off for most BB and IB is quite high for her, we advised him to aim at Tier 2 or 3 banks and Chinese banks, such as BNY Mellon, Mercury, CICC, Societe Generale... These firms are not as strict on their GPA requirements.

Most importantly, it was Wilson’s dedication and work that enabled the success. Not only did he apply to over 50 job roles, he took every shortlisted opportunity very seriously and gave him all to excel at every application stage, from mastering his soft and hard skills, to aptitude tests, ACs, interviews and behaviour questions stages- he persevered to the end.

Dewey - How to get in Property without a BBA major?

In fact, the Property industry does not shortlist non-Business students; they consider whether a student’s GPA, work experience and ECA are up to standard.

Although in-depth technical knowledge are not required for interview, full awareness of the job responsibilities and market trends are expected from the applicant. Dewey, a non-BBA student, impressed the interviewers with his insights into property developers’ portfolios and the latest market developments – proving himself no less capable than a junior.

Besides, Dewey self-learnt property knowledge and discovered more about the recruitment process. We trained him for the assessment centre stage unique to the property industry, where team games and non-technical assessment methods also take place, apart from the usual format of group discussions.
