When it comes to career planning, working hrs are equally important as salaries, bonuses & career prospects. Working is a long term thing, it’s critical for you to consider ur balance between working & ur physical/mental health. Thus, here’re some approximate working hrs of iBanks for you to plan for ur future work-life balance!


▶️IBD: Longest Working Hours?
- Juniors in the Investment Banking Division work for 15-16 hours or more a day
- If you’re promoted from Analyst to Associate, Vice President, the working hrs may be shorter, but it still takes 12 hrs or more a day
- Not only is VP responsible for clerical work, but also for sales. Hence, when customers contact u during non-working hrs, plz pick up the phone

▶️Private banking & Asset Management: Various from iBanks
- The working hrs of Private Wealth Mgnt & Asset Mgnt are generally shorter
- However, you hv to look into the culture of individual banks. For example, some IBs offer their staff to work from 9am-6pm, & some banks may require you to work more than 12 hrs
- The working hrs mostly depend on the no. of customers you’re responsible for
