4 tips to secure a return offer/ fast track from your upcoming summer internship!
1.
Show your passion - understand the expectations of your boss. You may
contact your supervisor via email, WhatsApp, Signal or LinkedIn 1-2
weeks before your onboard date. Let him/her know that you're going to
start working soon. You can even ask him/her for a coffee chat & see
if there’s anything they'd like you to prepare in advance.
2.
Do research - understand the team, work duties & projects. You
should learn about the projects or focus your team so that you can offer
your assistance immediately on your 1st day of work
3. Equip
yourself with technical knowledge/skills (e.g. Bloomberg Terminal or
VBA) related to the department/team that you're going to work for is
also a good way to impress your teammates
4. Follow the market
news closely. Changes in the market are directly related to your work,
esp if you're going to work for IBD, Banking and Property. You must keep
an eye on the news & market outlook in the industry.
