Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley Video Interview Questions & Panel Interview Tips (Singapore/ Hong Kong/ London)

How interview-ready are you to tackle the video intelligence-based Hirevue interview process?

(Based on 2020)
You’ll be asked interview questions that focus on behavioral traits to generate unique and individualized responses to assess if you’re the right “fit” for the role you’ve applied to. You have 30 seconds to prepare for each question and about 3 minutes to answer each question. The machine learning fueled algorithm uses 15,000 different dimensions like body language, rate of speech, and blinking to identify similarities with the high performers already working with the bank.

Here are some questions that we compiled from 4 sets, based on the student feedback that we received, and important tips to help you ace the interview.

Goldman Sachs' Hirevue interview questions:
❓How would you describe your work ethic?
❓Talk about a time when you had to deal with a difficult teammate.
❓Talk to me about a time that you had to deal with a challenging situation, and how you handled it.
❓Can you share a experience where you demonstrated flexibility?
❓Why should we hire you over other candidates?

Morgan Stanley Hirevue interview questions:

❓Tell us about a time that you resolved an issue during a team project
❓What’s a recent transaction that you found interesting?
❓Do you consider yourself as a better team player or an individual performer?
❓What are your three weaknesses?
❓Why do you want to work for us?

Our winning tips that have earned our students offers:

☑ Prepare your answers in advance, and practice with a friend/ family who can offer feedback on your body language (mirrors won’t work)
☑ Ensure that your answers fit within the 3-minute time limit, since you get only one attempt to record during the interview
☑ Look straight into the camera lens, simulating how you’d maintain natural eye contact in a face-to-face interview (don't forget to blink!)
☑ Smile or emote appropriately to show confidence (e.g., when talking about achievements)
☑ Maintain a steady rate of speech, adopt a conversational tone, taking natural pauses to breathe, so you sound less rehearsed/ robotic
☑ Dress formally, and perform advance audio/ video checks
