🎯 Moelis & Co: The company plans to hire aggressively in 2023 despite the blow to their 2022 revenues and deal value. The leadership declared in late 2022 their intent to invest in talent. They offer off cycle internships and 10-week IB summer analyst roles across London and Hong Kong for applicants from finance and non-finance discipline. The role involves financial analysis and modelling, company and industry research, preparing client presentations and interacting with senior bankers and clients.
🎯 Greenhilll & Co: This American IB firm offers advisory services related to M&A, IPO, divestitures, restructuring, financing, and private capital raising to governments and institutions, spanning sectors like TMT, FMCG, energy, utilities and infrastructure, financial services, healthcare, metals, mining, real estate, and gaming. Its 2022 deal performance rose up the charts with its offices in London, Hong Kong and Australia offering off-cycle and summer intern programs. Their SEC filings indicate global compensation to be around $495k per head, on average.
🎯Houlihan Lokey: HL leads the league table in financial restructuring, corporate finance, and global M&A, ahead of firms like JPMorgan, GS, and MS in the US (Refinitiv). HL’s mid-market focus gives it resilience and it has recently been offering summer internships in financial restructuring in Hong Kong. Its extensive global presence means and experience in handling 1400+ restructuring deals means students must track its internships closely. #houlihanlokey is reported to have offered an average compensation £328k in the UK for 2021, which given the market, is a great number!
🎯Citadel: They're technically a #quant trading firm. In fact, Citadel is the only #hedgefund that aced 2022 amongst peers, raking in a $28 billion revenue as of Jan 1, 2023 🤯 . What's more, they're known to have paid interns as high as $90k despite last year's market turbulence.
